A PROPOSED LIBRARY AND ART MUSEUM FOR LEARNING AND EXHIBITION

Completed2023

Abstract

The people of Mauban are incredibly determined and enthusiastic, and the art museum plays a crucial role in gathering, preserving, interpreting, and displaying artworks as well as motivating and educating the public. A library would allow users to broaden their knowledge and improve their comprehension, though the Mauban has different educational levels. According to Doughty (2009), there is a greater desire for places where visitors can bring back the past through art and literature because of the increasing number of tourists seeking locations and structures that connect with history. However, merging a library and an art museum under one roof can preserve the space. The researcher is mainly focused on planning and designing the library and art museum for learning and exhibition by implementing sustainable architecture into the building design and technologies that would cater to the needs of the users. The main beneficiaries are the local economy of the town and several nearby communities in Quezon Province. The location of the site is a component of institutional land use, which offers a suitable environment for learning, creativity, and exploration. Additionally, it encourages users by providing them with a more comfortable and effective learning environment. Also, the researcher looked for written public commentaries; surveys evaluating exhibitions and programs; observations; and interviews to conduct the study. As the study continues, other issues could arise, such as geographic factors. To make the project adaptable and responsive to its changing environment, these issues will be thoroughly studied and evaluated during the planning phase.
