A PROPOSED SUSTAINABLE POLICE STATION PRESERVING ORDER IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PAGBILAO

Completed2023

Abstract

Due to increased poverty and drug use, the Municipality of Pagbilao has a high crime rate in Quezon Province. In addition, due to the municipality's lack of facilities, utilities, space, and workforce, the researcher proposed a more sustainable and energy-efficient one with all the requirements that any police station requires to maintain peace and order (CIRAS, 2020). The lack of facilities and utilities and the failure to conduct daily patrols in each barangay to serve the municipality's continued population growth and increase in poverty are significant impediments or problems. Due to a lack of action and facilities, these deficiencies result in casualties. In addition, substations throughout the municipality are insufficient to meet all the needs of residents living in high-crime areas. (CLUP, 2013). This project will be an excellent solution to the rising number of crimes, particularly those involving drugs. According to the PNP, the number of reported crimes increased by 46% in the first five months of 2015 compared to the previous year (Ranada, 2016). The citizens of Pagbilao are the researcher's intended respondents, who shall indicate their opinions about the research. The Quantitative Method will be applied, including observations and focused interviews with the critical resources. The proposed sustainable police station preserving order in the Municipality of Pagbilao will provide all available performing personnel, mobilize resources, and concurrently conduct complementary programs involving the police, military, and civilian populace to ensure a safer and more secure community.
