POLICE COMMUNITY RELATION: ITS IMPLICATION TO THE PERCEPTION OF THE COMMUNITY TO THE POLICE OFFICERS OF MAUBAN, QUEZON

Abstract
This research aimed to determine the implication to police-community relation based on
the perception of the community to the police officers of Mauban, Quezon. Using descriptive
research design, survey was used to gather data from the people of Mauban. Researchers
utilize quantitative descriptive approach to determine the perspective of the community on how
the police officers serve the community of Mauban, Quezon. The primary respondents were
selected community members chosen thru stratified random sampling. Respondents were those
who are at aged 18- 32, living in Mauban, Quezon. The result revealed that the people in the
community are aware of the visibility of police officers and that they keep the public safe as part
of their duties. The public was also aware that police officers are conducting police community
activities like medical mission, coastal clean-up, patrolling and house-to-house visitation.
Moreover, the performances of police officers were observed and appreciated by the
community. Police community relationship in Mauban, Quezon is being implemented and
serving the community fair and square based on the perspective of the community.
