Abstract

The working efficiency of police officers at the Women's Desk in Lucena City, Quezon Province, was examined by the researchers in this study. The research's methodology involved employing questionnaires as both research tools to conduct both quantitative and qualitative research. Purposive sampling was used in the quantitative research process to choose fifty respondents to evaluate. The frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were the statistics employed for data analysis. Researchers discovered that criteria related to professionalism, emotional stability, and gender equality positively affected how well police officers performed their jobs. The police officers from the province of Quezon's Lucena strongly highlighted the usual issues experienced when handling cases at the women's desk. This research also gave authorities enough justification to understand the importance of thorough inspection to keep track of and enhance the future performance of the assigned police on the women's desk. This may also give the aforementioned police unit new guidelines for advancing the rights, interests, and welfare of women and children, which are their top priorities through providing an excellent service on the women's desk. The findings showed that the majority of the police officers in Quezon Province who are assigned to the women's desk are between the ages of 21 and 25, most of them are male, and they have between 1 and 5 years of experience in the force and hold the rank of patrolman or patrolwoman. It was also shown that the performance of police officers who are assigned to the women's desk is affected by three factors: the professional element, the emotional component, and the gender equality factor. In conclusion, the difficulties that the police officers had in dealing with the situations that were brought to the attention of the women's desk were only considered to be moderate. In addition, the methods used to evaluate the performance of the police officers who are assigned to the women's desk are regarded as having a high level of performance.
