EVALUATION OF THE TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION OF SECURITY GUARDS IN SELECTED BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS IN LUCENA CITY

This study aimed to determine the quality performance provided by the security guards in their assigned business establishment. The gathering of data was conducted in Lucena City business establishments. A total of 40 business owners or managers that the researcher’s respondent who hired security guards to protect their business. Result revealed that the evaluation of training and educational qualification of security guards have a big function to their service and performance of duty, which create them more professionalized and knowledgeable in their field. Meanwhile, lack of training and seminars attended is the one problem in the quality performance of security guards. Some security guards did not undergo another training to improve their ability and enhance their skill. Since the business owner or mangers are concerned in this matter, it is recommended that they require they security guard to have another training, attend seminars, according to the security program to be proved that they are deserving to trust by their employer which are very important to a security guard that the business owner or manager hiring security guard is not confused to any destruction and harm to his/her business. They want feel more secured their business and all of these will be true and become reality if their required the security guards to have undergone training and have an enough security education.
