END USERS’ EVALUATION OF THE ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY LABORATORY MANUAL AS A SUPPLEMENTARY TEACHING AND LEARNING TOOL

Abstract

Laboratory manuals are for students. These help them enhance their learning. Intructors designed the materials of Anatomy and Physiology for support to their teaching styles and develop an understanding and appreciation of the manual. It could be effective as a supplementary manual for teaching and learning for nursing educators and students. Considering this, the researchers were bounded with curiosity to evaluate the Anatomy and Physiology laboratory manual as an additional tool for supplementary teaching and learning. The researchers have employed a quantitative-descriptive research design that applies structured and semistructured questions that gather information on the end users of the Anatomy and Physiology laboratory manual using Google forms which was also statistically treated with frequency and percentage, weighted arithmetic mean, and Mann-Whitney u. Upon treating the results it was found that there is no significant difference in the demographic profile of the respondent's evaluation of the laboratory manual, both in general terms and in terms of usability. In other words, the male and female respondents have the same level of assessment and appreciation of the laboratory manual. This also resulted in a positive effect on the end users based on their evaluation.
