Area of Research
Abstract
Various types of innovations have revolved around everyone’s lives today,
it is seen in many fields like health, education, business, and others. Many
businesses have already employed technology in their day-to-day transactions;
however, with the rapid growth of technology, a simple computer-based system
or an online-based application is not enough to have an edge over competitors.
The proposed system, “Design and Development of Sales and Inventory
Management System with Sales Forecasting using Time Series Analysis”, aimed
to design and develop a system that would help the business in gaining an
advantage over other existing businesses offering the same product as theirs.
The system is an online-based platform that could monitor the products' sales
and inventory, could track users' history logs, and make a sales forecast based
on historical data. In making the proposed study, agile development was used.
The sales forecasting was done using time series regression model analysis and
with the use of moving average, its accuracy was checked. Thus, the study helped the business in having sound business decision-making through sales
forecasting.
