ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS' PERFORMANCE IN PAGBILAO DISTRICT 1 IN THE DIVISION OF QUEZON DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract
This study determined the elementary teacher’s performance in Pagbilao District
1 in the Division of Quezon during covid-19 pandemic using a mixed research method
employing descriptive survey and narrative inquiry approaches. An adopted instrument
from the Individual Commitment Review Form (IPCRF) from an open source was
created to measure teacher performance from DepEd and was utilized to gather data
from the two hundred (200) elementary teachers who participated in the study. Results
showed that the performance of elementary school teacher’s in Pagbilao District 1 in the
Division of Quezon during the covid-19 pandemic revealed that the majority of the
respondents were 51 years old and above, Bachelor’s degree holders, Teacher 1, and
had been in service for 26 years and above. In addition, Elementary Teachers generally
performed very satisfactorily during the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of all dimensions of
the IPCRF. Also, elementary teachers performed the same during the Covid-19
pandemic regardless of their demographic profile. Furthermore, The support provided by
DepEd, civic organizations, and LGU to elementary teachers during the Covid-19
pandemic is an opportunity for the teaching and learning process, learning material for the teaching and learning process, safe and secure learning environment, and effective
teaching and learning. Based on the findings of the conclusion, the researcher
recommended that teachers aim to perform outstandingly as they are only rated as very
satisfactory. Teachers will stay updated with their Individual Plan for Professional
Development (IPPD), focusing on the PPST Domain as stated in the study's
recommendation. Local Government Units must continue supporting the school so that
teachers and students can be better prepared for the first type of possible events. Also,
maintain equal support regardless of age, highest educational attainment, length of
teaching service, and teaching position to further enhance teacher teaching and student
learning.
