IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGY TO MARITIME STUDENTS IN QUEZON, PROVINCE REGARDING ENGINE WATCHKEEPING THROUGH ONLINE APPLICATION

Technology is a tool used in every aspect that makes things easier. That's why technology has an enormous impact on people, society, and industries that give the rule to perform. Especially in academics in maritime schools where technology gives the students sufficient learning in terms of knowledge and skills that they must have, it will help them to have experience and ideas about their future career. Online applications are implemented to sustain student needs in their knowledge in the time of the pandemic. The researchers conducted this study to investigate the Impact of Technology on Maritime Students in Quezon, Province regarding Engine Watchkeeping in online applications. The researchers used a quantitative descriptive research design, the questionnaire distributed containing questions about the Impact of Technology on Maritime Students in Quezon, Province regarding Engine Watchkeeping through Online Application to 40 respondents that take engine watchkeeping both training and subject in Quezon, Province. The results were gathered, analyzed, and interpreted to study the needed data. After the procedure, the answers were analyzed based on the results and findings. Based on the result of the impact of technology on maritime students in Quezon Province regarding engine watchkeeping through online application the study interprets it as strongly effective. Since the online application is a new method for academics, the researchers had the conclusion that maritime students struggle to adopt the online application of engine watchkeeping using technology. That's why the researchers recommend having an orientation or discussion about the technology used in performing engine watchkeeping online.
