ANALYZING THE USE OF MULTI- MEDIA ASSISTED INSTRUCTION BY MATHEMATICS TEACHERS IN ENHANCING MATHEMATICAL SKILLS OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN PATNANUNGAN DISTRICT
Area of Research
Abstract
As technology advances, whether from multi-media teaching, online teaching,
or interactive whiteboard, the various changes in both hardware and software
resources as well as information are very huge. Information can quickly circulate,
and new knowledge can be easily created. Therefore, the teachers’ teaching
patterns and teaching methods are bound to be adjusted. Nowadays, teachers and
scholars also believe that information technology can contribute to education reform
and bring innovation into the traditional teaching. This study analyzed the use of
multi- media assisted instruction by Mathematics in enhancing mathematical skills
of senior high school learners in the secondary schools in at Patnanungan District,
Patnanungan, Quezon.
The analysis of variance (ANOVA) implied that there are no significant
differences on the perceived effectiveness of multi-media with respect to quality (pvalue = .412), practicality (p-value = .656), and content (p-value = .874) between student and teacher respondents, as all the computed p-values are greater than the
0.05 level of significance.
