Area of Research
Abstract
The study is about determining the impact of COVID-19 on the work productivity of accountancy graduates in Lucena City. The study used quantitative research and a descriptive approach as its research design. Furthermore, questionnaires were distributed to the 60 selected accountancy graduates in Lucena City, Quezon. Additionally, the researchers used purposive sampling as it is the most appropriate sampling method for the study. With this method, respondents were chosen based on the researchers’ judgment on who would provide the best response. A five-point Likert scale was utilized in the ranking and assessment of questions. The research conclude that the working environment of accountancy graduates does not have a significant relationship with their productivity. In contrast, work arrangement and job security positively influence their productivity. Furthermore, the study also found no significant differences in age, sex, and educational attainment concerning the work productivity of accountancy graduates. It is then recommended to conduct a broader scope of study on the working condition of accountancy graduates to gain a clearer picture of work productivity.
