Abstract

The study entitled "A Tracer Study of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Bachelor of Science in Accountancy Graduates S.Y. 2015-2019" determined the employability of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation BS Accountancy graduates from S.Y 2015 to 2019 by tracking the university's BS Accountancy graduates through the acquired data from the respondents regarding their demographic profile as well as their employment profiles and first job experiences, training and advance studies attended, skills and competencies acquired during undergrad years and suggestions for the improvement of the program. The study utilized the quantitative descriptive research design. The questionnaires developed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) were the basis of the data gathering to BS Accountancy graduates from the school year 2015 to 2019. The instrument is sent in the form of survey administration software (Google form) via Gmail and Facebook Messenger accounts of all 161 graduates with 81 responses equivalent to a 50.3% retrieval rate. Results reveal that 90.1% of the respondents are employed with the majority belonging to the private and industrial sectors. The study also found that few respondents are engaged in business and self-employment citing that acquired skills in undergraduate help establish their careers. Also, the study shows that 98.75% of the respondents took professional examinations with 77.8% taking the CPA Licensure Examination. To improve the program and graduates' employability, it is suggested that students should be exposed to real accounting practices and establish a partnership with firms for their on-the-job training.
