The Impacts of Gastronomic Tourism on the Marketing Development of Lucban, Quezon: Basis for Creating an Infographic Promotion Material

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the impact of Gastronomic Tourism on the Marketing Development of Lucban, Quezon as a Basis for Creating an Infographic Promotion Material. The researchers used a descriptive research design and a quantitative approach. The purposive sampling method that is under the non-probability sampling technique was applied to select the respondents specifically the Food establishments’ owners, employees of the food establishments, and the Local Government Unit (LGU, residents of Lucban and Tourists with a total of 150 respondents. Results reveal that gastronomy tourism has contributed to the social and economic development of Lucban. Gastronomy tourism features such as local food dishes and beverages, events and festivals, and gastronomic site attractions have aided the municipality to value their guests and share their culture and authenticity that gives satisfaction and experience to the tourist. The local government must maintain open lines of contact with other authorities. They can also organize trade shows to exhibit Lucban's local products. The result emphasized that gastronomy tourism is a key aspect in shaping people's perceptions to visit and revisit the town, not just in terms of cuisine and other products, but also of heritage sites, local festivals, and events.
