Perceived Influence of Travel Vloggers to Tourists in Choosing Quezon Province as their Destination of Choice

Abstract

This paper critically examined the relevance of travel vloggers in Quezon Province. The researchers analyzed the influence of travel vloggers in choosing Quezon Province as their destination of choice together with its influence among travelers’ decisions on planning vacations. This research used a quantitative type of research approach and used random sampling to make sure the desired sample size from a population has an equal chance of selection until the desired sample size is achieved. It was found out that the respondents who watched travel vlogs on YouTube are millennials rather than the older legion of generations which are less familiar and more alien towards technological advancement. The result shows that according to their age, those who are in the bracket of 18-25 years old usually watch travel vlogs as they are more focused on social media and interested in watching travel vlogs right before they plan their trips and vacation. This concluded that videos were fun to watch as the contents of these vlogs show an authentic Quezonian culture and travel experience. The research pointed that these vlogs were useful to future travels because the information and experience of the vloggers were helpful to new potential tourists of the province. Moreover, the audiovisual component added to the quality of the presentation should be masterfully created to further influence people to visit Quezon Province. Furthermore, the unique activities and videos that properly introduced Quezon Province were more focused on promoting the destination’s culture through gastronomy and tourism activities. A proposed travel infographic has been recommended to guide potential tourists in their visit. In this way, majority of the respondents gained tips about the genuine experience they can get before visiting Quezon Province.
