Completed2022

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practices of the students in CIHTM-MSEUF in Lucena City on flexible learning in terms of socialization, finances, resources, physical/environment, and mental health. The purpose of this study is to know the significant difference on perceived practices of the students on flexible learning. The researchers used the descriptive method through an adopted questionnaire as the main data gathering instrument. The total respondents are 120 students of the different programs for each year level, but the researchers only gathered 45 students, and it was recognized trough purposive sampling. The study findings show that the students are prepared and can handle using the online platforms that the university and department have provided that are effective for the flexible learning. The students have the devices to use to participate in online discussions as well as to accomplish their task/activity given by the instructor. There is a significant difference on the practices of the students in terms of physical/environment because of the priorities of the student that conflict with their time schedule. The researchers find out that most of the students are struggling and having difficulty with regards to their mental health. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended to establish a guidance counseling program to encourage the students in MSEUF specifically in the CIHTM department in terms of their academic, social, emotional, and personal development while they are under the flexible learning. This is to ensure that the students get to now themselves and to find an effective solution to their problems and difficulty with their studies.
