Abstract

The current situation of the Philippines in the war against drugs have reach the threshold of crimes against humanity (Gavilan, 2019). The war against drugs has led to at least 6000people were suspected as drug personalities and were killed in Philippine police operations whilst, there are more than 20,000 people were killed in the so called “vigilante-style” operations. According to Amnesty International, (2019). The sufficiency of evidences therefore conclude that, “these kinds of incidents constitute crime against humanity”. The rampant situation of drug addiction and drug pushing in the City of Lucena has always been the issue all throughout Metro Lucena. There are more than 800 self-confessed illegal drug pushers and users converge due to the “extreme fear” from the series of summary executions all over the country (Mallari, 2019). The “Grounds of Hope: Treatment and Recovery Center” aims to have a focal point for the citizens that has a need for drug rehabilitation. To give the drug dependents a hope for a better and more cherishing life and to have a drug-free community. The proposal for the “Grounds of Hope: Treatment and Recovery Center” will be beneficial all throughout the locality of the City of Lucena.
