A PROPOSED QUEZON PROVINCIAL ATHLETIC COMPLEX

The province of Quezon has become one of the fast growing provinces in the country. Within the said province lies a developed city, Lucena, which is considered to be the best place for the establishment of a sports complex. Surrounded by various cities and municipalities, the proposed location is very suitable to bring every school or company in the same place where sports competition can take place. To support the development of the city, a proposed Quezon Provincial Athletic Complex was made. It is suitable to provide a sustainable and adaptive sport facility in order to conserve the environment of the local community. Its aim was to develop a sports tourism by attracting local athletes to bring contributors to tourism to become a potential tool for urban development. The sustainable design and environmental planning were applied to be the solution to the building structures to meet the standard design to lessen the damage of the environment. The sports complex would be used by both public and private organizations and the community as a whole, athlete or non-athlete. It would also bring opportunities for social interactions, contribute to social capital, and help shape our community as one.
