Abstract

Online learning has been the basic and most common fundamental of learning today due to pandemic. With the help of internet and modern technology, different gadgets like Smartphone, laptop, tablet, desktop, and etc., it has been so easy for the students to stay connected. It gives them a wide area of learning methods and learning tools. However, everyone does not have the same privileges, and has different life conditions, which makes it difficult for some students to take classes at home. Including the fact that some of the courses that we take online needs a special activity or training to suffice the skills and knowledge of the students in a specific field or profession. Nonetheless, these training and activities could be compromised due to the COVID-19 virus. Through this study, the researcher aims to determine the impact of online learning in training criminology students. The researchers will select students randomly in criminology department of any year and section who is enrolled during school year 2020-2021 as they experience firsthand the online class without any training activities that are needed for their field course. It will also determine how these students can adapt to this new learning method, some of the pros and cons of online learning, the effectiveness of online learning to training efficiency of criminology students and lastly, to measure the motivation, engagement and attitude of students towards online learning. By means of survey, tabulation and statistical treatment, the researchers wish to serve the purposes of this research that are mentioned above. Moreover, this research study aims to create an action plan to improve the effectiveness of online learning to training efficiency of criminology students in Manuel S. Enverga University
