Completed2021

Abstract

A community could be considered “mobilized” when all members feel that everybody’s safety is important to them and worthy of action and support. Thus, community mobilization is important because the community itself is ultimately responsible for and affected by situations of safety or insecurity. The research study primarily aims to measure the impact of community mobilization projects of PNP in preventing crime in Barangay Cotta, Lucena City. The researchers used descriptive methods of research and collected data. The researchers prepared a set of questionnaires aligned with the study's main purpose to achieve solid and factual results of the study. The focus of the study is to elaborate and spread information about community mobilization projects needed for community safety and security. With the objectives, the proponents of this study have randomly chosen Barangay residents to be the study's main respondents. Community mobilizations effectively solved community problems/crimes in which people agreed and experienced crime prevention through this process. Community mobilization has been important in designing and implementing protective measures to ensure the community's safety. This study was the basis or guidelines for proper mobilization in different areas, especially high-risk barangays or cities. The desired outcome is redesigning the program and recommending a new strategy to improve the system.
