Area of Research
Abstract
The study dealt into the investigation of communicative behaviors of marine engineering students of MSEUF as the basis for developing communicative competent students. Communicative behavior is basically what is communicated to the listener by the speaker, It is the impression that they get (Datie, 2017). The speaker may be unaware of these impressions but they say a lot about a person. The result of the study was used on proposing a program to attain communicative competent students. The participants of the study were the maritime engineering students of Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation Lucena. The data were gathered through a survey questionnaire that helped the researchers to find out the background information of the respondents which is the year level, age, and sex. It also includes questions about the communicative behaviors of the respondents and the investigation on the respondent's communicative behaviors that need improvement.
