Stress Management Analysis among Law Enforcement Officers: A Pillar for the Development of a Stress Management Program

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide a much more effective stress management program that will help our Police officers to cope with stress. The researchers analyzed stress management among police officers. Analyzing gives the researcher a detailed survey about stress management. The researchers used the descriptive research method in this study to have a better knowledge about the stress management of police officers that will be based on existing research. A structured questionnaire was used as the data collection tool, which was created by the researchers and confirmed by a specialist in the field. The questionnaire was distributed to Fifty (50) selected police officers in the Philippine National Police particularly Tayabas City Police Station and Mauban Police Station. The researchers used a random sampling technique in gathering the data. Results of the study show that stress management program has a very good impact on police officers and was very effective for Police officers and it must be applied to everyone to help them reduce and eliminate stress to have a better life. The research study recommends that the Philippine National Police should create a stress management program that is accurate to the stress being experienced by police officers. The PNP organization should create a group that is tasked with assessing and resolving police officers' stress. Police Stations should create a program and employ an expert stress counselor that is the task of the counseling police officer who needed stress
