Level of Awareness of the Community on Animal Welfare Act of 1998: Basis for the Use of Infographic Utilization Technique

Completed2021

Abstract

Animal cruelty is a serious yet under-reported problem in the United States. Every day, thousands of animals die as a result of inhumanity, cruelty, and brutality. Each year, over 115 million animals, including mice, rats, dogs, cats, rabbits, primates, and birds, are killed in laboratory experiments for chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetic research, according to Humane Society International (2015). The goal of this research was to find out if there had been any incidences of animal cruelty or abuse. To find out, we used a Google form to conduct a poll and gather information on the community's involvement in preventing animal abuse. We also determined the community of Sampaloc, Quezon's degree of understanding of the Animal Welfare Act of 1998. The researchers wish to analyze the level of implementation of the local government unit in the prevention of animal cruelty as animal abuse continues to rise. This study used descriptive research to raise awareness about animal maltreatment and educate all animal lovers about what they can do to assist. Animal cruelty instances can be reduced in severity and frequency if all the facts are known. Additionally, assisting humans who have endured or been exposed to violence by offering their time and money would benefit animals. Finally, we can work together to stop animal mistreatment by contacting your local government unit or barangay.
