A Prototype Design of Mechanical Pushcart Sprayer for Plotted Plants
Area of Research
Abstract
This research study was designed to apply crop protection products and reduce the
labor cost and equipment in agriculture. This was conducted in order to meet the desired
needs of the consumer in terms of reliability, efficient and functionality operated.
Specifically, the mechanical pushcart sprayer was manually operated and pushing the cart
was the main concept. The force applied in pushcart tends the piston pump reciprocates
to make it spray. In order to accomplish the study, there was a design procedures, the
fabrication process, and the testing and gathering of data. The results from the test
showed that the pushcart sprayer can hold more liters of chemicals than the other
sprayers. Based on the findings, the volume flow out of sprayer was 1.74 liters per
minute. The study conducted an evaluation to determine the reliability, effectiveness,
appearance, and efficiency of the prototype. Through this assessment, the respondents
were satisfied in functionality of the study. The pushcart sprayer can also be improved.
The future researchers can implemented the design of the sprayer by adding additional
features and components.
