The Role of Parent-Teacher Communication in Modular Distance Learning of Grade 4 Pupils

Abstract
The researcher assumed to identify the demographic profile of the respondent, the role and problem encountered in the parent-teacher communication in modular distance learning on the performance of grade 4 pupils and to know the benefits of parent-teacher communication as well. The design that was applied in the research was descriptive design where survey questionnaires are used. Data was treated statistically using frequency percentage and weighted mean distribution. Study took place at West and East elementary schools, known as two of the public schools in Lucena City. Researcher Utilized 44 respondents, 22 grade four teachers and 22 parents.
The result of the study concluded that both parents and teachers had the same goal for their children and students, and that is to develop the trust and connection with their children in order for the betterment and improved academic performances. The Findings also concluded that there are more female teachers than men because Female characteristic is much more compatible for the profession. The same thing also applied with female parents, Mostly, mothers are the one who handle their child’s education, also most of the teacher’s don’t have time and fundingto continue on with higher Education. Researcher recommended that the teachers continue to achieve the highest Educational Attainment and to openly communicates and respond to the parents’ concerns and continually motivates every student on learning, especially amidst pandemic. Researcher also recommends future researcher to conduct similar study that will add more information about the parent and teacher
communication and partnerships.
