Parents’ Weekly Consultation as a Routine of Grade 6 Teachers in Modular Distance Learning in the Selected Schools in Pagbilao, Quezon

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of age, sex, length of service, and highest educational attainment. Second objective was to determine the importance of parents’ weekly consultation as a routine of Grade 6 teachers in modular distance learning. Third, was to identify the problems encountered by Grade 6 teachers during modular distance learning.
To gathered accurate data to the respondents, the researcher used survey questionnaire through Google forms from which they would choose the answer based on their teaching experiences. The respondent of this study consist of thirty (30) grade six teachers from selected schools in Pagbilao, Quezon. To determine importance and problems encountered of parents’ weekly consultation routine of Grade 6 teachers, data were subjected to weighted mean distribution. Based on the findings, this study found out that the importance of having parents’ weekly consultation routine to Grade 6 teachers during modular distance learning was to build relationship that provide the best educational experiences and motivate the learners to learn even in their homes. It also helped the teachers to determine the student’s struggles and challenges in academic or personal life. The researcher also concludes that majority of the Grade 6 teachers’ encountered problems with parents’ educational attainment which affects the academic performance of the learners. Students failed to submit complete learning task because they don’t understand the lesson and having a hard time in answering the modules due to great number of activities.
This study recommends that the teachers must attend various seminars related to modular distance learning. Help parents to facilitate the learning and use YouTube as alternative for learning resources and Messenger application as specific plat form to communicate to the parents and students.
