Integration of Interactive Learning in Teaching Visual Arts among Senior High School

Abstract
The study focuses on the Integration of Interactive Learning in Teaching Visual arts among Senior High Students in Private Schools SY:2020-2021, this study was conducted to understand the integration of interactive learning in teaching visual arts as a method in teaching through the activities. The researcher used a mixed method descriptively for the study, it was used to quantify a clear description, analysis and to analyze with proper and accurate interpretation of the findings. The researcher surveyed (30) Senior High School teachers using the survey questionnaires through google forms that has been validated by the validators, in addition to support the study 4-likert scale was used to determine the results. The researcher also interviewed (10) Senior High teachers in the same Private Schools in the Province of Quezon using the approved and validated interview protocol to gather the information. One on one online interviews in zoom and messenger are being used through video recording and voice recording to record the data, The researcher analyzed and group the codes and rank based to the responses of the respondents in order to interpret the data the simple percentage method was applied, weighted mean was used to determine the final weight in each questionnaire. The findings revealed that the integration of interactive learning in teaching visual art integrated using specific examples followed by an interactive discussion, and the methods/activities that are being used are think pair share, creation activities and appreciating through arts. In addition, the use of PowerPoint presentations is one of the teaching methods that stimulates the development for visual reasoning, analysis of artworks. This implies interaction is both for teachers and students with participation of the students in the teaching and learning process. The researcher designed teaching modules for both teacher-students will be benefited. It is recommended to create other online platforms in presenting lessons and the teaching module for teaching visual arts.
