Academic Performance Monitoring System for MSEUF-Basic Education Department using Descriptive Analytics

Abstract

For a private school institution like MSEUF Basic Education Department, monitoring the performance of its students is quite difficult task to accomplish and sometimes other schools do not focus on monitoring the academic performance of the students. The project primarily aimed to develop a computerized student academic performance record that would serve as a tool to monitor the performance of high school students of Manuel S. Enverga University using Descriptive Analytics. The system had the features and capabilities for grades submission, grades viewing, and generated comprehensive and analyze graphs, tables, and charts of the high school students’ academic records. The proponents used Rapid Application Development (RAD) as its software methodology in developing the system and also utilized using web-based application tools. An evaluation for the system was conducted after the development and was participated by the Principal, IT, some Teachers as respondents, and Advisers of the BED as well. The evaluators had been given the Monitoring System evaluation and garnered an over-all mean of 4.32. It has been rated as “Very Much Attainable”. It only shows that the system achieved the characteristics of being effective system software.
