“Thomas the Explorer”: An Interactive Mobile Game for Teaching Science for Kindergarten Students

Abstract
The project covered the development of a single player mobile game learning-based for kindergarten students titled "Thomas the Explorer". This is an educational game that will help kindergarten students to develop their knowledge through games and activities from varied science lessons discussed in kindergarten schools. The main objective of the game is to provide and to improve learning skills while playing. This can also be used as an activity and evaluation to the kindergarten students. There are two characters in the game the main character in the game named Thomas; player plays the role of Thomas during gameplay. The second character is Liza; Liza is the fairy on the game that will help by Thomas. By developing this game, the user will be able to attain self-learning and applied what they learned in schools that the game offers.
The proponents used RAD as a game methodology. Adobe Flash, AS3, Adobe Air, Adobe Illustrator, Audacity, and Genymotion will be used as key software of the project.
