A Design of Water Treatment System

Completed2020

Abstract

Water plays a vital role when it comes to human health, and all known forms of life depend on it. This study provides a large contribution to the community that does not have safe drinking water. Sitio Iringan, Barangay Palsabangon, is a community in Pagbilao, Quezon, struggling with the lack of potable water supply. Prime Water Quezon Metro can’t extend its service to the said community. Groundwater and rivers are their primary source of water using “poso.” When it comes to water quality, groundwater/deep wells contain contaminants. The purpose of this study is to give the families of Sitio Iringan, Barangay Palsabangon, a reliable, clean, and drinkable water supply. The design of the water treatment system is mounted on a frame with a water pump for the purpose of transmitting water from the water source to the water treatment system. Cleaning and diminishing contaminants and other bacteria in water will be done via screening, chlorination, filtration, carbon filtration, and purification. Unlike the other water treatment system, this is portable. The proponent aims to prove the objective of the study that is to design, modify, develop, and fabricate a prototype of the water treatment system. In line with this, the working principle of the Design of Water Treatment System is efficient at a reasonable cost and surely safe for the community to use.
