A Study on Effective Safety Strategies and Travel Risk Management in Kamay ni Hesus Healing Church

Abstract

The COVID-19 outbreak has caused economic and social disruptions, which led to changes in the Philippine Industry, especially the Tourism Ind ustry that has greatly affected the crisis. The government has amplified Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) coordination to strengthen the safety protocols all over the country. A total of two hundred twelve (212) respondents were selected and utilized a descriptive-survey research design. Of the total number of respondents, the majority are female, single and 21 to 30 years old are mostly fascinated to visit the destination. The foremost challenge encountered by the tourists in visiting Kamay ni Hesus Healing church during this pandemic is the requirement to wear a face mask and face mask throughout the visitation which is mandated nationwide, as of now. There is a high number of respondents who strongly agreed that safety signages implemented by the destination are an important safety communication tool for the tourists in which showed that tourist is more aware on the visual health guidelines and standards on a certain place. Top of the safety strategies employed by Kamay ni Hesus Healing church during this COVID-19 pandemic is the “No face mask, no face shiel, no entry policy” which helps in mitigating the spread of the said virus. In general, this study produces a Travel Risk Management Plan which acts as a guide and suggests additional information on safety procedures for tourists as well as the destination's employees amidst the pandemic.
