Investigating the impacts of Housekeeping Training Program through service-learning among participants

Abstract
This research investigated the impacts of the Housekeeping Training Program at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation among participants. The research involves interview with the participants from communities where engagement activities had taken place. As the phenomenon of student service in communities has become more widespread, a field of training has emerged that describes and encourages this work. It also targeted on knowing what are skills that they acquired during the training that they are going to finish. The premise of engaging students in service with housekeeping training is based on an assumption of mutual exchange, where both parties, participants and community organizations, give and receive something of value. Through the survey that we had applied, both our group and participants get a benefit from it. Wherein they got to know the pros and cons during the training. Community engagement is in its infancy and is just beginning to move beyond its early stages to more advanced levels of inquiry. The study investigated those who can benefit and who will be participating-if it is open to everyone. The study helped the researchers provide information that the tourism and other courses who will undergo the same training program as part of their curriculum. It also supports the information that even Tourism can benefit from the program, since the housekeeping is part of the hospitality industry and the program plays a vital role on keeping the room of guests tidy and comfortable-that it is best if even tourism industry has a background regarding the course.
This study used the Qualitative Research, it is effective in obtaining culturally specific information about the values, opinions, behaviors and impacts on their social context. It systematically uses a predefined set of procedures to answer the question. Along with these, we have chosen Purposive Sampling and due to the situation, we are facing today not all participants are capable of using the Internet connection as a mode of communication.
