Observance About Gender Sensitivity Among Tourism Related Establishments in Quezon Province

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to observe, assess and evaluate selected human resource personnel about the perception and implementation of gender sensitivity in their establishment. In order to collect data the researcher provides questionnaires for the survey assessment and administered to human resource personnel regarding their observance, perception, and implementation of equality and sensitivity of gender; as well as demographic information. The findings of the study indicated that most of the tourism-related establishments in Quezon province are aware and have a recognizable culture of gender sensitivity. The establishments obtained the understanding and taking account of the societal and cultural factors involved in gender-based exclusion and discrimination in the most diverse spheres of public and private life. It focuses mainly on instances of structural disadvantage in the positions and roles of women. Sribar, R. (2015). The differences between male and female nowadays are not being viewed by the tourism-related establishments. Gaps between the ability and skills of both genders are not very sensible to the owners and human personnel staff.
