ANALYSIS ON THE INMATE WELFARE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM PROVIDED TO PERSON’S DEPRIVED OF LIBERTY IN LUCENA CITY JAIL

Abstract
This study aimed to know the implementation of the inmates' welfare
development program to persons’ deprived of liberty in Lucena City Jail. This study
specifically identified the extent of participation of the (PDL) and the concerns
agencies in this program, assess the implementation of the inmates’ welfare
development program refers to a set of physical, psychological, intellectual,
vocational, and spiritual activities or interventions that facilitate inmate’s wellbeing
and the enhancement in accordance with the accepted social norms and ethical
standard. This study used qualitative and quantitative approaches. Survey
questionnaires were used to address the objectives. Results show that persons’
deprived of liberty are happy with the jail conditions if the different treatment styles
are practiced. A harmony between offering help and structure for a person deprived of
liberty has all the earmarks of being essential. Motivational treatment turns out to be essentially related to the persons’ deprived of liberty fulfillment in regards to jail
conditions.
