Completed2018

Abstract

Post-Millennial is now the term used for the youth of this generation. The innovations in the society and breakthroughs in technology made their daily lives convenient. This study aimed to identify the factors that contributed to the anti-social behaviors that the post-millennial possess. The researchers utilized a descriptive method of research. By the use of this method, the researchers present a clear illustration of the characteristics of millennial that posses anti-social behavior. The questionnaire was the main tool used to gather the needed information to answer the question of the study. The researchers chose the K-12 students in one of the universities in Quezon Province as respondents since they hold the millennial of this generation. Results show the fast phasing changes in society and the breakthrough in technology post-millennial tend to use social media as their escape from the real world. They use it to let go of their angst and the emotional disturbances in life which lures them into using their gadgets more often than the usual. As a result of this, they develop anti-social attitudes. Moreover, this adds up to it is the lack of supervision of the parents who are supposed to be the one guiding their child, because of their absences, the child develops the sense of being alone and facing problems on their own. Therefore the researchers conclude that proper guidance of the family is the main key to guide the child and prevent them from developing and exhibiting anti-social behavior which can, later on, develop and make them children in conflict with the law because the behavior of a child is first molded inside the family. A good foundation of a child will always come from the parents, and with it a child no matter how the environment and society are changing will always concentrate on his roots which is his family.
