SIGNIFICANCE OF PAROLE AND PROBATION IN THE REINTEGRATION OF PAROLEES AND PROBATIONERS IN THE COMMUNITY

Abstract
This study concerned mainly the problems encountered by the probationer
in reintegrating in the community as viewed by the probation officers and prevent
society against the repetition of criminal activities. The objective of this study was
to determine the effectivity of the probation process; demographic profile of the
respondents in terms of sex, crime committed and years as a probationer; and
the programs that given to the probationer and parolee and the common
problems that they encountered regarding the implementation of the probation
program. The researchers used quantitative method. The 40 respondents were
chosen purposively and given survey questionnaires. Results show parole and
probation officer create a program that totally help the parolees and probationers
to achieve their goal reintegration.
