PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY SECURITY GUARDS IN CAMPUS SECURITY

In this modern society, it is important to know the security capabilities of the school that student and teachers will be headed. It is to ensure the safety and the feeling of being secure so that they will focus on being productive than feeling doubt and fear. This research aim is to know if the school security guards know the different problems in school, the problems they encountered when it comes handling with the students and if they can identify a possible solution to alleviate the problems encountered. This study used a descriptive design method which involves information gathering or fact-finding of gathered data and the corresponding assessment and analysis. This study also used quantitative data collection. The respondents were composed of school security guards in Lucena City. The researcher randomly selected fifty (50) security guards in different schools in Lucena City to give chance to every security guards and to provide unbiased, valid and reliable information needed in this study. Based on the findings the researcher completed that the security guards were married and they are in 3 years of service. They have shown that they have knowledge of how to handle those different kinds of problems. The security guards in have shown that they are aware of identifying a possible solution to alleviate the problems encountered. It is recommended to the school administrator to improve their I.D. scanner and for the security guards to strictly implement. The school should maintain the preparedness and awareness of every school security guards in Lucena City.
