THE PERCEIVED PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED BY POLICEWOMEN IN DEALING WITH R.A 9262 CASES IN 2 ND DISTRICT OF QUEZON

Abstract

The study aimed to find out the role of policewomen in WCPD. Specifically, this determined the process on how policewomen handle cases related to R.A 9262, the perceived problems of women's desk in dealing with R.A. 9262 cases and the methods or activities to alleviate the problem encountered in 2nd District of Quezon. This study used the descriptive method. This included data gathering in order to determine the extent and relationship of variables. Results show that majority of the respondents are strongly agreed that their roles were investigation on child abuse and investigation of battered wife, while process on how policewomen handle cases related to R.A. 9262 got the highest and most of the answer had a separate logbook for complaints and cases of VAWC and keep this confidential. The most problems are withdrawal of the complaint after the husband's, family members plead to them. In methods and activities to alleviate the perceived problem that encountered in terms of problem-solving the highest answer are training and re-education of personnel and research and conduct self-study
