DISCIPLINARY ACTION TO POLICE MISCONDUCT AS PERCEIVED BY SELECTED POLICE OFFICERS

Abstract
This study aimed to determine the disciplinary action to police
misconduct as perceived by assigned in administration of the selected police
officers of the PNP. Specifically, it addressed the following objectives: to
identify the demographic profile, the common misconduct committed by
police officers, the disciplinary action for police misconduct, and the impact
of police misconduct to the PNP image. The researchers used descriptive
survey and conducted personally with the aid of a questionnaire for the
selected officers. Consequently, data were collected, described, analyzed,
and presented. This is to make an accurate description of the misconduct of
selected police officers in district II and give the exact result. Result
revealed that police officers extensively participated in the integration of disciplinary action for misconduct. Apparently, the researchers found that
having disciplinary action is very good in terms of being aware of their
performance. The objectives of the study were also effective in terms of
preparing in the integration of disciplinary action. Having overworked or
stress is also a problem as a result of committing misconduct. However, the
integration of disciplinary action helped to discipline the PNP. With these
findings, the integration of disciplinary action for misconduct of the PNP has
proposed the effectiveness of the disciplinary action for misconduct.
