POTENTIALS OF QUEZON CONVENTION CENTER AS AN EVENTS TOURISM DESTINATION IN QUEZON PROVINCE

One sector of the economy that contributes to the growth and development of a country is tourism. There are part of tourism that gives a huge impact to the community and the tourist. Events are celebrations and happenings in a specific venue or place and time. This could be festivals, concerts, sports events, competitions, seminars, conferences and gatherings. This research is all about the potentials of Quezon Convention Center as an events tourism destination for different huge events. This study will help tourist to have idea about the venue and also to help the host community to manage and organize the events properly with assurance of their safety and security. This study will show the potentials Quezon Convention center has to host big events by having enough space to accommodate large number of attendees. This study will also identify the benefits that the host community can receive in holding different events, benefits like job opportunities, promotion of the province‘s tourist attractions, and showcases the culture and tradition that Quezon Convention Center has. The researchers used the Descriptive Methodfor their research design.Quantitative method will be used by the researcherbecause in this research questionnaires will be used to collect data. This questionnaire will have statements that will find out if Quezon Convention Center has its potential in accommodating different kinds of events. This research determined how the past events held can help in considering Quezon Convention Center as an events tourism destination. The researchers aim to end their study with the result that Quezon Convention Center Has the ability and capability to hold big events and to be considered as an Events tourism destination in the province.
