An Inventory of Old Houses in Sariaya, Quezon: Basis for a Proposed Restoration Plan

Abstract
This study aimed to analyse the benefits to the residence of the heritage
site in a town specifically in ancestral houses. Heritage tourism is a form of
tourism which tourists are to visit the specific place that was built long time ago. It
also comprises the history, culture and traditions and natural history of one‘s
place.Heritage tourism is a great example of tourist attraction that is most visited
because it is now on trends. It affirms as an identified structure from the past that
is essential enough to conserve and pass for the future generations. This study
also tackles about how possible ancestral houses in the town could be a tourist
attraction. The research locale that the researchers chose is in Sariaya, Quezon.
Researchers used to survey through questionnaires. The researchers used
sampling random as well as simple sampling procedure in collecting data. This
research also examine on how the ancestral houses contribute to the community.
