“HEALTH ELIFE”: A MOBILE APPLICATION IN LEARNING HUMAN AND ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH

Abstract
Health eLife is a mobile game application for kindergarten students. The game
was developed using Unity, Android Studio, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator.
This is a 2d game which is all about the understanding of the physical and
natural environment. This taught the user on how to take care of their selves and the
right thing to do when they are in certain places. Health eLife was based on the K-12
Basic Education Curriculum Guide 2016 and was also based on the results of
interviews to kindergarten teachers conducted by the proponents. The study used
Agile Methodology to be able to make the project finish on time and make the
development easier.
The proponents conducted an evaluation using the four (4) criteria: Game
Appearance, Game Contents, Game Navigation, and Educational Content for quality
assurance. Based on the results of evaluation, the game was found to be interesting
and had a good design and graphics, and also the game was a good tool for effective learning. There was a finding that the game had a limitation in using to android
devices.
In the overall results, the game attained its objective to become an educational
game and learning about the Human and Environmental Health.
