ADASAP: A WEB-BASED SYSTEM FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ACADEMIC PROGRESS

Completed2019

Abstract

Education is one of the social investments in the country. The aim of education is to prepare human beings to be globally competitive. The need to educate and train students led to the implementation of K-12 Senior High School Curriculum in 2016. The primary purpose of this study is to develop a web-based system that could track the performance of the students and provide a descriptive analysis on the raw data to provide awareness to the faculty so that solution and intervention can provide ahead of time to a student who has the possibility of failing. The second part of this study is to evaluate if the use of this system decreased the number of students who would fail. This study took place in Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation under the Senior High School program which focused on the Grade 11 students under the TVL track ICT strand. The study involved data gathered from the E-class record of the Faculty particularly the results in Written Works and Performance Tasks which will be uploaded to the system. The faculty surveys and evaluations provide positive feedback about the system. During the evaluation of the system, some faculty gave feedbacks such as the system provides charts that display a report of the E-class record. They were happy because this is what the E-class record cannot supply. The benefit of the ADASAP system is important to the Faculty and Principal who monitors and track student performance. The insights provided by the system will benefit the users as well as the students in the institution.
