Completed2017

Abstract

Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Lucena, City is a public multi-employment service facility. This included Employment Recruitment Assistance for Employers and Applicants, and for handling the assessments and works for them (Employers and Applicants) by developing a web-based application called “Online Job Recruitment Management System (OJRMS). It will assist the management and reduced the work effort of staffs, clients, and especially the job applicants. Once developed, OJRMS can be accessed through the internet using the computer. The existing recruitment system being used by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Lucena City to manage job recruitment process was a purely manual system. All data recordings are manually plotted and kept in big file ring folders stacked in piles. Likewise, generating periodic reports is not that easy and quick to produce because one needs to ask assistance to another to manually verify and classify the records depending on the needed information. Thus, old recruitment practices are not being suitable in today’s competitive environment. To assist in the possible improvement of the problem, Online Job Recruitment Management System was implemented as a support mechanism for Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Lucena City. The proponents needed to understand the factors and structure of building a web-based application that can be used to minimize the cost and efforts for both clients and the company. In this project, the proponents introduced two different sections, the front end and the back end of the system. The front end will be the website itself and the back end in which transactions and reports were generated. Based on the overall evaluation, the system was perceived as very much acceptable that it can be used by the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Lucena City.
