Abstract

Livestock is one of the livelihood sources of a rural area. Livestock farmers may need to adopt a more streamlined and innovative approach to farm management. HerdHero is a platform to attain this plan of transitioning from traditional farming into digital farming. With the integration of innovative technologies using QR scanning, farm management, and descriptive analytics, users, both farm owners and employees, can use the information they need for the livestock they manage. Visual Studio code was the primary IDE for developing web and mobile applications. React and React Native, ApexCharts.js gave the system the capability to perform extra tasks with ease because of its built-in functions. Vercel, Heroku, and Render were used to deploy the client, the server, and the database, respectively. HerdHero is also considered effective and appropriate based on evaluating its target users and Information Technology (IT) experts. BlackBox testing shows that the system passed the evaluation indicating that the system can do its tasks and functions accurately and effectively. According to the result of the evaluations based on the ISO/IEC 25010, the system’s portability was strongly agreed upon and was able to garner the highest rating of 3.92, followed by the system’s functional suitability with 3.9, proving that the system is making it possible for farming to be easier, more digitalized, and more accessible to its target users. With an average rating of 3.78, HerdHero has the potential to provide innovative solutions to create a more digitalized way of farming and more productive and work-efficient methods in livestock farming.
