MSEUF strengthens collaborations with health institutions to improve well-being

Through these collaborations with health institutions, this aligns with MSEUF’s mission to promote well-being in the region and support national and global health goals.

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) actively collaborated with local, national, and global health institutions to enhance community health and well-being.

Through partnerships with the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), Quezon Medical Center, Quezon Diabetes Society, Quezon Dietician Society, and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), MSEUF engaged in various initiatives addressing public health needs and offering essential services.

In December 2023, MSEUF’s College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences (CNAHS) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with key on-the-job training (OJT) partners, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in clinical and community health settings. This agreement reflected MSEUF’s commitment to developing healthcare professionals equipped to serve diverse community needs.

MSEUF’s Medical and Dental Service Office and Health and Safety Office joined forces with the Integrated Provincial Health Office to carry out public health programs such as anti-COVID campaigns, Lung Awareness Month with a focus on “The Dangers of Vaping,” and Basic Life Support and First Aid Training. In alignment with these efforts, the University plans to expand initiatives to include Understanding Diabetes and High Cholesterol, along with management and treatment approaches.

In partnership with the Department of Health, MSEUF also co-hosted the Regional Health Forum on Infectious Disease Prevention, convening healthcare experts, local officials, and community leaders to discuss preventive strategies against health issues, including dengue and tuberculosis. These forums fostered knowledge-sharing and encouraged proactive health measures across the region.

Furthering its commitment to mental health, MSEUF signed MOAs with external mental health providers, Therabridge and Rabina Educational Services, and partnered with Dr. Lourdes Laydia to offer psychotherapy services. These collaborations extended mental health support for students and staff, ensuring accessible, comprehensive care.

Through this partnership, the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) will provide enhanced clinical support for students facing challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression, and other mental health concerns.

Supporting recurring health initiatives, MSEUF organized annual medical missions and health fairs, and actively took part in national campaigns like World AIDS Day and National Nutrition Month. These partnerships and programs underscored MSEUF's dedication to fostering healthier communities, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all.
