MSEUF recognizes independent students’ union that governs, supports, and connects students through UCSC

Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF) demonstrates commitment to SDG 16 by recognizing the University Collegiate Student Council (UCSC) as an independent, resolution-making body; inviting its governance input through formal acts; and enabling a portfolio of student support and social activities that strengthen a safe, engaged campus community.

Recognized, independent students’ union

MSEUF publicly hosts the UCSC’s resolutions, evidence the council is formally recognized and empowered to legislate and publish its acts. Resolution 1 (Series 2024–2025) appoints UCSC advisers, codifying advisory support while preserving elected student leadership. Resolution 2 (Series 2024–2025) endorses standing committee members, showing structured internal governance and mandate for student representation. 

Governance input to the university

By passing and posting resolutions, the UCSC establishes clear lines for proposing programs, coordinating with offices, and documenting decisions, mechanisms universities rely on to channel student voice to the highest decision bodies. The resolutions portal also places “Submit Claims and Complaints” prominently, reinforcing due-process participation in campus governance. 

Union-led support for students

The UCSC projects list features assistance and wellbeing initiatives that directly help students stay enrolled and thrive, including EU Kasangga: Financial Assistance, EUng Aklat Subsidy, Cyber-ssistance for EU, EUr Safety First, Send yEUr Worries Away (wellbeing), bEUnd the Blame Game (anti–victim-blaming), and Fortify-EU: Basic Self-Defense Training. 

Union-hosted social and community activities

To build belonging and positive campus culture, the UCSC portfolio includes EU Night: Ability to Love Inclusivity and seasonal gatherings such as EU Feb-Ibig Szn ’25: Gimme Love!, among others, open, walkable events that encourage safe socialization on campus. 

Complements across the university ecosystem

Union work is reinforced by university and college-level programs that nurture student leadership and support: alumni-backed scholarship fundraising that grows access to aid; values-based leadership sessions for student leaders at CCJC; and social-sector partnerships that link students to civic agencies. Together they create a scaffold where UCSC initiatives can scale and sustain impact.
