Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation collaborated with the Philippine Red Cross and Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Vietnam in 2025 to support blood donation and strengthen the preparation of future healthcare professionals.
These collaborations supported Sustainable Development Goal 3, Good Health and Well-Being, through donor care, blood donation support and international healthcare education.
Supporting blood donation with the Philippine Red Cross
The University, in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross, held the Mobile Blood Donation Drive on Oct. 3, 2025, at the University gymnasium to support blood availability for patients needing transfusions.
The activity ran from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. as part of the annual EUPHISMET blood donation initiative. Twenty officers and volunteers from the Enverga University Student Nurses Association assisted with venue preparation, donor information recording, weight checks and initial vital signs.
Student nurses also supported donor screening and aftercare, monitored final vital signs and shared information on post-donation care and regular blood donation.
The collaboration provided students with opportunities to apply basic nursing skills while supporting donor safety and patients’ transfusion needs.

Strengthening healthcare competencies through collaboration in Vietnam
Eight nursing and medical technology students from the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences completed a 14-day mobility and exchange program at Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Vietnam from Nov. 23 to Dec. 6, 2025.
Conducted through the University’s EU FLIGHT program, the exchange was supervised by host institution representative Dao Thi Hong Phuong and MSEUF faculty member Catherine Bainto. Students completed the scheduled academic and cultural activities and delivered their final presentation at the closing ceremony on Dec. 5.
Participants reported learning about hospital workflows, laboratory technology, ethical research and culturally responsive healthcare. Their experiences strengthened their understanding of how health systems and cultural differences influence professional practice.
The collaboration supported the preparation of future healthcare professionals through international academic exposure and exchange.
Together, these partnerships connected University service and healthcare education with efforts to support health and well-being, both within the community and through international cooperation.
