Wadhwani Foundation trains Basic Education teachers on AI-powered career guidance tools

Strengthening career guidance and work-readiness support for students, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation oriented Basic Education Department teachers and guidance counselors on the Wadhwani Foundation’s My Career Advisor and Interview Coach on Sept. 8 through Zoom.
The activity primarily involved Grade 10 advisers and Senior High School teachers who will help integrate the AI-powered platforms into the BED Guidance Program and requirements for Senior High School students before work immersion.
My Career Advisor will supplement existing career guidance initiatives by providing Grade 10 students with job role exploration, personalized recommendations and career insights. The platform is intended to help learners better understand possible career pathways and make informed decisions about their future.
Interview Coach, meanwhile, will provide Senior High School students with practical opportunities to develop and practice job interview skills before their immersion experiences. Results from the program will help guide appropriate career interventions for participating students.
The Basic Education Department plans to implement the tools this school year. Results from My Career Advisor and summarized feedback from Interview Coach will serve as references in evaluating and improving future career guidance programs.
Through the initiative, BED aims to strengthen the use of technology and student data in providing responsive career support that prepares learners for higher education, employment and future professional opportunities.
The initiative supported the University’s commitment to student-centered and outcomes-oriented education by using digital tools to provide more responsive career guidance and workplace preparation. It also reflected the core values of Mindfulness and Excellence by helping educators better understand students’ career needs and strengthen interventions that support informed decision-making and professional readiness.
