Enverga University, Amazon PH formalize career development partnership

Bridging academic preparation with global industry exposure, Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation, through the Center for Student Careers, Job Placement, and Scholarships, hosted “COE-LABS with Amazon Philippines: From Campus to Corporate” on Sept. 18 at the DTYES Alumni Hall, where the University and Amazon Philippines also formalized an institutional partnership through a memorandum of agreement.

Designed for business students, the program featured the career talk “From Campus to Corporate: Breaking into Big Tech Finance with Amazon,” where Amazon Philippines professionals discussed industry expectations, career pathways and opportunities in finance and corporate environments.

The activity also featured speed mentoring sessions that allowed students to interact directly with Amazon professionals, ask career-related questions and receive practical guidance on preparing for corporate work. The sessions aimed to connect classroom learning with real-world expectations and help students better understand possible pathways into multinational companies.

Vice President for External Relations Celso Jaballa emphasized the value of exposing students to opportunities beyond their immediate environment. “The classroom may be local, but the opportunities can be global,” Jaballa said.

Representing MSEUF in the activity were Center for Student Careers, Job Placement, and Scholarships Head Maria Isabel Granada; Accountancy and Management Accounting Program Chair Maria Lucila Pedegloria; CSCJPS staff Ma. Juliene Fidelle Labitigan and Robyn Anne Castillo; and Alumni Relations Office Head Divine Glifonea. Amazon Philippines representatives from finance operations, recruitment, program management, site administration and other corporate functions participated in the program and mentoring sessions.

The memorandum of agreement formalized the collaboration between MSEUF and Amazon Philippines and established a framework for continued engagement in career development, mentorship and industry exposure for students. The partnership seeks to create opportunities that can strengthen students’ readiness for professional environments and broaden their understanding of corporate career possibilities.

Through COE-LABS, MSEUF strengthened its industry linkages while providing students with opportunities to engage directly with professionals and connect their academic preparation with workplace expectations.
