Enverga University honors 971 graduates during 79th Commencement Exercises for Cluster 2
The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation honored 971 candidates for graduation from the College of Computing and Multimedia Studies, College of Engineering, College of Maritime Education, and the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program during its 79th Commencement Exercises for Cluster 2 at the University Gymnasuim, July 3.
The commencement ceremony celebrated the academic achievements of the graduating class and recognized their years of dedication, perseverance, and commitment to completing their respective programs. Graduates were joined by faculty members, employees, administrators, families, and guests in commemorating this significant milestone.
Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rexlon Gatchalian served as the commencement speaker. He was welcomed by Chairman of the Board and CEO Wilfrido Enverga and President and COO Naila Leveriza.
In his address, Secretary Gatchalian encouraged the graduates to lead with integrity, resilience, and a commitment to serving their communities as they begin the next chapter of their professional lives.
Before his appointment as DSWD secretary, Gatchalian served as mayor of Valenzuela City, where he advanced the "Five Pillars of Governance" by prioritizing programs and services in education, health and social services, housing, employment generation, and trade and industry. He later represented the 1st District of Valenzuela in the House of Representatives and chaired the Committee on Local Government during the 19th Congress.
The ceremony was also attended by Quezon First District Rep. Mark Enverga, whose presence underscored the importance of supporting higher education and recognizing the accomplishments of Enverga University's newest graduates as they prepare to enter their chosen professions.
